The opening pilot will zoom in on the death of the
patriarch at Touro Hospital in uptown New Orleans. After
the patriarch dies, we go to the funeral services at St.
Louis Cathedral. The artist son arrives with his
father’s German shepherd and insists that the dog be
allowed in the Church. The stepdaughter who has had an
affair with the patriarch arrives at the funeral in
wedding attire. The grandson Bunky arrives with a band of
kids from Country Day High School who insist on playing
rock music in the Cathedral. In short, chaos ensues but
the family moves forward returning in Jaguars and
limousines to the family home in the Garden District where
crab dip, turtle soup and mint juleps await.
